Cardinal Newman High

Today I was at Cardinal Newman and started the morning with a quick presentation to the Young Enterprise Group of 15 senior pupils - they have lots of ideas re "enterprise opportunities" and have already started trading and making profit. The group are also involved in the share4schools project and are trading shares and building an investment portfolio. All good fun

I then worked with two groups of 80 S3 pupils for two hours each and enjoyed the challenge of catching there attention with enterprise activities - all participated well and the final task of producing the entrepreneur poster was greatly contested.

Tomoorow I am going to the "Towards a Confident Scotland" conference

I am learning that the spirit of entrepreneurship is alive and well in Scotland and our young people have so much potential and creativity that the Determined to Succeed strategy is making a real - measurable - inspirational difference.
