Hello everyone - I hope you are all smiling and definately "Determined to Succeed"

Thank you very much for the many messages re updating the blog - I never realised so many people are interested in our work in particular in encouraging enterprise and a can do attitude in Scotland.

I am pleased to be back working after the summer break and my diary is looking good re speaking engagements.

April Update

We have all had a really busy April with lots of exciting and ambitious programmes and projects happening.

Here are some of the highlights

* Matt did an Entrepreneurial talk at Govan High School Glasgow for a group of Primary Seven pupils about to embark on the exciting journey to secondary school.
*Helen delivered "Enterprise is the Business" in Govan High
* Matt was photographed for an upcoming press article highlighting our success with over 10,000 pupils this academic year.
* John and Matt attended the "Schools for Ambition" conference in Edinburgh
*David continued his journey of meeting local authorities throughout Scotland - highlighting our work and success.
*Jim presented the "world of work" programme for 200 S3 pupils in Trinity High Rutherglen - the young people are about to embark on their work experience and Jim presented the skills and attitudes required to maximise this opportunity.
*Matt was at Harris Academy Dundee presenting "Who wants to be an Entrepreneur" junior to S4 pupils.
*Matt was at St Maurices High School Cumbernauld presenting "Who wants to be an Entrepreneur to S3 pupils
*John presented on behalf of Stirling Council to 50 probationer teachers - the "Enterprising Teacher" programme which has now been booked by several local authorities and works with teachers as part of their CPD to encourage enterprise is the classroom.

We at entrepreneur.me are "Determined to Succeed" and play our part in the development of a more enterprising entrepreneurial Scotland.

Make it in Scotland / South East Scotland

During february and March I have been busy doing the motivational icebreaker session at various "Make it in Scotland" events that have been organised by Careers Scotland www.careers-scotland.org.uk they aim of the event is to encourage S2 pupils to consider manufacturing as a possible future carrer and also to spread some positive messages re the good works in manufacturing that exist here in Scotland. All the events were very successful with over 11,000 pupils participating, my owm part of the event was small but I presented a fun introduction session that had pupils involved and ready to take part in the series of presentations.
Venues visited include Edinburgh - Kelso - Grangemouth - Bathgate and Musselburgh

Even More Mega February

Hello everyone and yes I am still blogging - please find an update re February
Highlights include

*Two big North Lanarkshire Enterprise is the Business events ran by Helen at Motherwell Concert Hall for 400 P7 pupils
*Eight "Who wants to be an Entrepreneur" events led by myself with over 1500 pupils attending
*Five Make it in Scotland events by Careers Scotland have been attended with a motivational icebreaker delivered to over 7500 S2 pupils

I have also presented at three PSYBT events at Ayrshire Colleges with the objective of encouraging college students to consder business startup as a possible next step.

I also visited the Shetland Islands (paradise) and presented "Who wanst to be an Entrepreneur" to two school groups as part of the 21st Century Shetland conference programme.

Mega January

Hello everyone - I have had lots of requests for me to update the blog and also to get the website www.entrepreneur.me.uk up and operational.
On point one let me update you on what has been happening with .me and "Who wants to be an Entrepreneur" in January I have been to... Woodfarm High School and Barrhead High School (East Renfrewshire) Hunter High and Strathaven Academy (South Lanarkshire)Taylor High School (North Lanarakshire)North Berwick High School (East Lothian)
I have had lots of fun and enjoyed meeting lots of enterprising Pupils

Thanks to Gary from North Berwick who sent me an Email after my visit

"I'd like to thank Mr Stewart, who ran an entrepreneur workshop today in my High School and i thought he made such a great performance and really put the points across that he was intending to do that i would like to thank Mr Stewart once again. I was also emailing to ask for information on succeeding or entrepreneur's as I'd like to learn more. On behalf of all third year pupils (especially the afternoon group, my group) I'd like to say a huge thank you! and if your visit did not leave anyone else thinking, it certainly left me thinking about what the future holds for me and that i want to succeed in life."

Also on the website front I have committed that the information required for our web launch will be with Stephen Ng of Cubic Design by next Friday the 4th of Feb...I promise Stephen

Next week see's my continued work with Careers Scotland and the Make it in Scotland project resume with Roadshows in West Lothian and Edinburgh.
